40m² Big Rolls!

Coronet Turf has a unique large roll system. Due to the advantages of the soil free growing medium Coronet turf can produce the biggest rolls of any turving supplier. Roll size is up to 40m² measuring c. 2m x 20m. This is achievable because the turf weighs approximately half the weight of conventional turf and incorporates a fine netting.

Combined with exceptional root development the turf is strong enough to withstand mechanical laying without wastage or damage. Laying time is very quick as the turf is not undercut when lifted so the complete, undamaged root system ensures rapid establishment once laid.

Large rolls can be supplied with the standard mesh from stock or to order incorporating a heavy duty netting for erosion control and soil stabilisation. A lead time of only six weeks is required for any turf outside the specification of the standard CTJ3.

The rolls are supplied with a 90mm diameter pipe core into which a 2.4m long scaffold pole is inserted. This can then be lifted into position by a forklift/JCB using slings.

Here the clay bank is being stabilised from erosion from the sea at a managed retreat in Suffolk. Grass species can be grown to suit individual locations and requirements.
